INSTRUCTIONS FOR PRINTING THE Isitfair HANDBOOK ON A4 SIZE PAPER TO CREATE AN A5 SIZE BOOKLET

(Note: if you know all about printing pdf files and you have a printer that can do double-sided printing - or if you know all about how to do double-sided printing with your kit - you won't need these instructions. Otherwise - please read on.)
 
The booklet is provided in a file format known as pdf (portable document format). The pages are organized so that the booklet can be printed (double-sided) on A4 size paper which is then folded in half to make an A5 size booklet.
 
If you do not already have the program that allows you to read and print pdf files, you can get a legal and free copy of the Adobe Acrobat Reader if you follow the instructions on the Internet site at  http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
 
When you have the free pdf reader installed on your computer here is what you need to do to print the pages (double-sided on A4 paper) to produce the A5 size booklet.
 
- Open the pdf file of the handbook using the Adobe Acrobat Reader
 
- Then, using the print option in Acrobat Reader, print off ONLY the odd-numbered pages by ticking the appropriate box(es) on the print menu screen. (This will print 5 sheets of A4.)
 
- Then, take the bunch of 5 sheets, turn them over, top to tail, and put them back in your printer paper tray
 
- Next, again using the print option in the Adobe Reader, print ONLY the even-numbered pages
 
- Sort the pages into order and fold in half to make an A5 size booklet.
